Eligibility

Target Population

The foundation focuses on secondary school students (SS3) in Osogbo who are preparing to enter university the following year. These are students with:

  • Exceptional academic potential and demonstrated achievement
  • Strong character and leadership qualities
  • Financial constraints that would limit their educational opportunities
  • Commitment to making a positive impact in their communities

Selection Process

A rigorous, multi-stage process designed to identify students with the highest potential for success and lasting impact.

Outreach & Application

The Foundation identifies high-potential students through strategic partnerships with credible institutions that maintain verified academic records of students who have completed WAEC and JAMB examinations.

Application Review

Each application is thoroughly reviewed by a selection committee evaluating academic performance, financial need, personal statement, character, and commitment to community.

Comprehensive Interviews

Qualified applicants are invited for Group Assessments, Individual Interviews exploring motivations and character, and Academic Readiness Assessment.

Background Verification

Thorough background checks including verification of academic records, confirmation of financial circumstances, school and community references, and character references.

Final Selection

The selection committee evaluates all gathered information to identify the final cohort based on academic excellence, character, leadership potential, financial need, and commitment to impact.

ROADMAP

Implementation Timeline

2026 — Pilot Launch

The foundation is fully operational. Application process opens. Selection and interviews conducted. First cohort of Zenith Scholars selected.

2027 — University Begins

Inaugural cohort begin their university education. Mentorship program launches with group and individual sessions.

2027–2029 — Operations

Ongoing support for scholars. Regular monitoring and evaluation. Collection of data on program effectiveness.

2029 — Assessment

Comprehensive evaluation of pilot program. Refinement of model based on learnings. Development of scaling strategy.

2030+ — Scaling

Implementation of refined model. Potential expansion of cohort size or geographic reach.
